I finally found a pair of sunglasses that actually feels like me. I’ve realized most brands either try too hard to be or they’re just plain boring. The Big Earl from Decade hits that sweet spot I’ve been looking for.
I went with the Coffee frames and Green lenses. The colors are deep and rich—they have this subtle, vintage look that I really like. What really stands out is the build quality. These aren't the flimsy, lightweight plastic frames you find at the mall. They have a substantial, heavy-duty feel to them that reminds me of how things used to be made. You can feel the quality in the hinges and the density of the acetate; they feel like they’re built to last for a long time, not just a season, these are "keepers".
Despite that "heavyweight" quality, the fit is incredibly comfortable. They sit perfectly on my bridge without sliding down, and the balance is spot on—no pinching behind the ears even after wearing them all day. They have a real presence on the face without feeling cumbersome. They’re versatile enough to wear to a nice dinner or out to a concert. They make me feel put-together without looking like I’m trying to reclaim my twenties. It’s rare to find something that feels this solid and timeless at the same time. I can't recommend them enough.
A great new platform in the sunglass arena that could possibly have something for everyone at very reasonable prices!
Love 'em!
